Reflects life reimagined in my work by depicting affluent Black individuals wearing Gilded Age-styled opulent fashion. The scene places them in a place where they may be able to let loose from every day racism as they “get down” at a popular satirical dance show in liberated ways. If you look closely, you may recognize a historical hero and the name of another hero appearing in a surprising way.
